Narendra Modi will lead the all-party meeting on Sunday, ahead of the winter session of Parliament starting on Monday. The central government has called this all-party meeting at 11.30 am to discuss the Xi session and other important agenda. At the same time, the Vice President and Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, Venkaiah Naidu has called a meeting of the leaders of the Rajya Sabha in the evening to discuss the Parliament session.

This winter session of Parliament is going to be very important. In this session, the central government will introduce a bill for the withdrawal of agricultural laws. PM Modi has announced to withdraw three new agricultural laws. PM Modi had also said that in this session the process of withdrawal of these laws will also be completed.

However, even though the bill to repeal three controversial laws has been cleared by the Union Cabinet and is likely to be passed by the Lok Sabha in the upcoming winter session, the farmers agitating against it do not consider it sufficient. They are firm on the guarantee of MSP (Minimum Support Price).

Farmers union adamant on MSP guarantee

On the other hand, the opposition is adamant on discussing the bill in the House to corner the government on agricultural issues.

The Congress has issued a three-line whip in both the houses asking the party MPs to be present in the house on Monday. Apart from this, the Congress party also plans to hold a meeting with the opposition parties an hour before the commencement of the Parliament session in which important issues can be discussed.
